"Isaiah 58" Recipients

In Isaiah 58 God says that real prayer and fasting is, “to loose the chains of injustice… to set the oppressed free and break every yoke…. to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe him….”

Each year we recognize and honor a local ministry that reflects this passage in Isaiah 58. We do this in two very practical ways:

  • one dollar from every ticket sold for the Indianapolis Prayer Breakfast is given as a gift to the current year's Isaiah 58 ministry, and
  • an opportunity is presented for those at the Breakfast to give a tax-deductible donation to the ministry if they feel led
